A journey from the Middle East to the warm breeze of the Caribbean (El PaiPai)

Under the expert direction of Lázaro Rosa, we had the privilege of developing this striking pendant lamp, a harmonious fusion of Caribbean and Asian influences. With dimensions of 165 cm in height and 130 cm in diameter, the piece, named Pai Pai, is a true work of art.

The inspiration for this design stems from the primal form of the palm fan, traditionally shaped like a paddle with a handle. This iconic form is reinterpreted through a modern lens, resulting in a lamp with an aluminum structure and steel cables that evoke a sense of both strength and elegance. The shade, which serves as the lamp’s most distinguishing feature, is composed of 40 meticulously handcrafted pieces made from parchment paper and Chinese chopsticks. Each element of the design is a testament to craftsmanship and attention to detail, offering a perfect blend of cultural influence and contemporary design.

This lamp is not only a lighting fixture but also a statement piece that captures the essence of diverse cultural aesthetics, blending them into a sophisticated and timeless design.
