For the prestigious JW Marriott Hotel in Madrid, Omio Atelier crafted an innovative sculptural installation for the lobby area, redefining how art and functionality can harmoniously coexist in interior design. Designed in collaboration with Arvo arquitectura de Juan, this project showcases Omio’s expertise in creating dynamic, multidimensional pieces tailored to their environment.

The centerpiece is a striking structure composed of bow tie-shaped elements made entirely of lightweight aluminum. To enhance the aesthetic and functional appeal, 10% of these bow ties are illuminated with integrated LED tubes, adding subtle lighting that creates a vibrant yet sophisticated atmosphere. The elements are arranged at three different heights, resulting in a layered composition that draws the eye and provides depth to the space.

This installation was not only designed to be visually captivating but also acoustically effective. Positioned strategically within the lobby, the structure helps muffle ambient sound, creating a more serene environment while also concealing the inner courtyard.
